The Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon (FFUL) welcomed this Tuesday a group of students from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as part of the postgraduate course in Herbal Medicines, which will run until the end of the first semester.

This is the second time FFUL has hosted students from China since the course programme began last year.

This course is part of the educational and scientific cooperation project with Jiangxi University, under which the China-Portugal International Joint Laboratory in Herbal Medicines was inaugurated. The programme aims to deepen knowledge on the therapeutic use of medicinal plants, with a particular focus on traditional Chinese medicine. The training includes research methodologies, laboratory activities, and intercultural exchange moments, fostering direct contact with the Portuguese academic environment.

This exchange represents an opportunity for both Chinese and Portuguese students to develop scientific and cultural skills, reinforcing FFUL’s commitment to educating global citizens and promoting research in health sciences.
