HR Excellence in Research
The HR Excellence in Research Award is a recognition granted by the European Commission to institutions that demonstrate a commitment to implementing the HR Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), with a focus on the continuous improvement of institutional policies and practices related to recruitment, career development, working conditions, ethics, and training for researchers. This award is associated with the implementation of the 20 principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The HRS4R aims to:
- Enhance researchers’ working conditions by fostering more attractive, inclusive, and sustainable research environments;
- Ensure fair and transparent recruitment procedures, promoting merit-based selection, equal opportunities, and international mobility;
- Support career development through continuous training, professional mentoring, and recognition of progression within scientific careers;
- Strengthen research quality and ethics by ensuring alignment with European standards on scientific integrity, social responsibility, and data management.
