Incoming students should apply for the Erasmus + Programme directly at their home institution. It is the home institution that defines deadlines, application requirements, and is also responsible for the student selection.
Procedures:
- Be sure that your home institution has an agreement with FFULisboa for the respective area of study and for the academic year in which you intend to take the mobility.
- Check if the study plan of the FFULisboa course is similar to the study plan of you home institution.
- Carry out the application procedures established by your home institution.
- Confirm your nomination for the study mobility at your home institution and also the acceptance of the programme.
- Contact the Erasmus Office to be sure that you can take the programme you have chosen.
- Submit your application – see the Application Guide.

Full academic year / Winter semester (1st Semester): until end of June
Summer Semester (2nd Semester): until end of November
ULisboa usually organizes a welcome session for all new international students enrolled in ULisboa Schools, or for the students who are attending a period of mobility. The event aims not only to present a little of Portuguese culture and academic life, but also to present ULisboa as a whole and to spread the many services and structures that it offers to the whole community.

STUDENT RESIDENCES OF ULISBOA
Erasmus students have the possibily of being hosted in the student residences of Universidade de Lisboa. However, since the number of spots available for exchange students is very limited, accommodation cannot be guaranteed for all applicants.
In case you wish to apply, please fill in the Aplication Form at the Fénix Portal.
After accessing the Fénix Platform, in the Applicant tab, choose the Type of Application Student Residences of ULisboa Application and fill in the required fields.

Accommodation application will only be accepted and valid once you have completed your mobility application (which also includes the Learning Agreement duly approved).
The Erasmus Office is responsible for managing the reservations directly with the Accommodation Services of Universidade de Lisboa according to the arrival date of complete applications at our Office.
Applications are sorted in order of arrival.
Before applying please read carefully the available information about the Universidade de Lisboa Residences for students.
The Social Services of Universidade de Lisboa (SASUL) is the responsible entity for the organisation and distribution of students in its residences.
About the Student Residences:
- Rooms are double or triple only. There are no single rooms available;
- Shared kitchen and bathroom facilities;
- Kitchens are provided with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and stove;
- Each residence provides bed linen and bath towels;
- The rooms are equipped with a bed, a nightstand, a desk and a wardrobe;
- The free services included are: washing of bed linen and room cleaning, which are done weekly. The common areas are cleaned daily;
- Smoking is not allowed inside the residences;
- The rent cost is around €200 per month (2022/23 price);
- As rent for accommodation is paid monthly, students wishing to move out of accommodation should inform the responsible of the Residence or the Social Services of ULisboa, whichever the case may be, at least one month in advance.

PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION
The Erasmus Office does not arrange or make reservations for private accommodation.
Many Portuguese and international students choose to live in private residences, shared flats or houses in Lisbon. Rooms cost around €300/€400 per month, or more, depending on the size of the room or flat and on its’ location as well.
We advise you to arrive a few days in advance, to stay at a youth hostel in town and then to look for a room or apartment.
