The first Tropical Summit – Foreseeing Answers to Global Challenges aims to bring together leaders from around the world to address the most pressing tropical challenges.
It will take place at the Lisbon Congress Centre from 4 to 8 November 2024 and is being organised by the Tropical College of the University of Lisbon and the FARA – Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic and with the support of the Institute for Cooperation and Language, Camões I.P..
The Faculty of Pharmacy is partners with the Summit and will put forward a session under the thematic line Planetary Health entitled Linking Pharmaceutical and Tropical Sciences: from disease characterization to new therapeutical opportunities to showcase some of the research being conducted at our faculty involving various research groups, scoping from disease epidemiological and genomic characterization to therapy development and product valorization.
