Thesis Submission

The student can only submit his thesis or Internship report subject to the Scientific Council, if and when, has the curricular component of the master’s course completed and provided that it has no debts to FFUL.

The final work can be accompanied by a supervisor and a co-supervisor, national or foreign, one of whom must be from the FFUL, in a maximum of two supervisors. Both supervisors must have a doctor degree.

Thesis

Documentation
The following documents should be delivered:

  1. Thesis Submission Form;
  2. Student Curriculum (dated and signed)
  3. Supervisor or Co-Supervisor Curriculum (if it is external to FFUL).

After logged in the Fénix Portal, access the “Personal” tab and in “Services”, click on “Requests“, and then on “Create” to submit the application.

Deadlines

  • Until September, 15 – Master in Biopharmaceutical Sciences;
  • Until October, 15 – Master in Food Quality and Health, Master in Medicinal and Biopharmaceutical Chemistry, Master in Regulation and Evaluation of Medicines and Health Products;
  • Until February, 15 – students who are attending courses in the 1st semester of the 2nd year (MAC/MEF).

 

Internship Report

Only applicable to students of the Master in Laboratory Medicine who perform curricular internship.

After logged in the Fénix Portal, access the “Personal” tab and in “Services”, click on “Requests“, and then on “Create” to submit the application.

Deadlines

  • Until February, 15 – students who are attending courses in the 1st semester of the 2nd year (MAC).

 

Change of Title or Supervisor

Students have the possibility of requesting a subsequent change of their thesis title.
To initiate this process, it is required to submit a request together with a signed statement from the supervisor, providing a justified reason for the change

Students can also request to change their supervisor(s) by submitting an official, duly substantiated request.

All requests must be submitted through the Fenix Portal. After logging in, in the Candidate” tab and under “Applications”, students should select the Change of Title or Supervisor 2nd Cycle” option.

Documents required for the title change:

  • A statement from the supervisor and co-supervisor, giving a detailed justification for the change of title.
  • Course Coordinator’s approval.

Documents required for a supervisor change:

  • Acceptance statement from the proposed supervisor and co-supervisor.
  • if the supervisor or co-supervisor are external to FFUL a curriculum vitae mus be uploaded.

The Academic Office will request a resignation statement from the supervisor who wishes to resign.

The change of title or supervisor does not lead to any extension of the deadline for the thesis submission, with tuition fees remaining payable and the countdown for thesis submission deadline continuing without interruption.
