Incoming Students

I am delighted to welcome the students who have chosen the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universidade de Lisboa as their exchange destination. The opportunity of attending part of your studies in a country with a different culture and educational system is always a remarkable experience. I hope your stay in the Faculty of Pharmacy corresponds to your expectations and that you can combine your studies with the intense and active life of Lisbon.

Information sheet for mobility students (Factsheet)

Application

Incoming students should apply for the Erasmus + Programme directly at their home institution. It is the home institution that defines deadlines, application requirements, and is also responsible for the student selection.

Procedures:

  1. Be sure that your home institution has an agreement with FFULisboa for the respective area of study and for the academic year in which you intend to take the mobility.
  2. Check if the study plan of the FFULisboa course is similar to the study plan of you home institution.
  3. Carry out the application procedures established by your home institution.
  4. Confirm your nomination for the study mobility at your home institution and also the acceptance of the programme.
  5. Contact the Erasmus Office to be sure that you can take the programme you have chosen.
  6. Submit your application – see the Application Guide.

Application deadlines:
Full academic year / Winter semester (1st Semester): until end of June
Summer Semester (2nd Semester): until end of November

Before Leaving

Before travelling to Lisboa, please be sure that you have:

  1. Identification Card.
  2. European Health Insurance Card.

Portuguese Language Courses

The classes are taught in Portuguese. It is recommended that incoming students attend a Portuguese course before starting the study period.
The Institute of Portuguese Language and Culture organizes Portuguese Language Courses for Erasmus students of the University of Lisbon.
These courses aim to provide the basic tools of the Portuguese language in order to facilitate student’s daily life and understanding of classes.
There are two normal courses. The first one runs from October until the end of January. The second course begins in March and ends in June.

Arrival at FFULisboa

Upon arrival at Lisboa, incoming students should contact the Erasmus Office.

Welcome Day

ULisboa usually organizes a welcome session for all new international students enrolled in ULisboa Schools, or for the students who are attending a period of mobility. The event aims not only to present a little of Portuguese culture and academic life, but also to present ULisboa as a whole and to spread the many services and structures that it offers to the whole community.

Accommodation

We advise you to arrive a few days in advance, to stay at a youth hostel in town and then to look for a room or apartment.

End of Mobility

One week before the end of the study mobility period at FFULisboa, the incoming students should attend to the Erasmus Office to sign the Certificate of Attendance and the Transcript of Records.
