The CWUR (Center for World University Rankings) places the Universidade de Lisboa as the national leader among Higher Education Institutions, ranking it in position 218th worldwide, 79th in Europe, and among the top 1.1% universities globally.
Published annually since 2012, the CWUR ranking evaluated over 21,000 universities this year, releasing the list of the top 2,000 institutions. The evaluation is based on four key indicators: alumni who have received notable international awards (25%), alumni serving as CEOs in leading global companies (25%), international recognition of faculty and researchers (10%), and scientific research performance (40%).
