The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) is has a new PhD in Planetary Health Studies, an innovative program that addresses global challenges at the intersection of health, environmental, social, and political sciences. Through a holistic approach, it equips students to develop innovative solutions in laboratories or virtual environments, fostering a collaborative working model.

The program brings together ULisboa’s 18 Schools and includes specialists from various fields, ensuring a high-quality research environment. The PhD covers topics such as climate change and health, global health, health in extreme environments, policies and governance in planetary health, tropical health, and urban health.

Applications will be open from March 3 to March 28 (1st phase) and from May 12 to June 6 (2nd phase) in 2025.

This PhD aims to train leaders capable of driving transformative change and developing sustainable policies for a healthier future.
