Tutoring is an academic support programme offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon that provides close, individualised support to students starting their studies at MICF, as well as to any student who expresses a desire or need for a tutor. The programme promotes integration into higher education, academic development and the creation of a sense of belonging to the FFUL community.
Who is it for?
Tutoring is aimed at:
- First-year students of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MICF), who are automatically included in the initial contact phase;
- Other FFUL students, regardless of their year of enrolment, who express an interest in or need for individualised support.
How does the initial contact work?
During the first semester, tutors contact students via institutional email with the aim of:
- Presenting the Tutoring Programme;
- Understanding whether the student is interested in joining the programme;
- Identifying any initial needs;
- Defining the best way to organise support.
- Following this initial contact, meetings are scheduled according to each student’s availability and in accordance with the needs identified by the tutor and the tutee.
What is a Tutor?
A tutor is a FFUL lecturer who volunteers to mentor a group of students.
