biographical note
Afonso Miguel Cavaco holds a PhD in Pharmacy Practice from UCL (UK), a post-doctorate in Health Communication from Johns Hopkins University (USA) as a Fulbright Fellow, and a Docent title from Helsinki University (Finland). He contributes to the training of undergraduate and graduate pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. His scientific production comprises book chapters and more than 85 articles published in indexed journals with impact factor. Afonso’s current research interests cover the attitudinal aspects of medication use and health communication, especially patient consultation and information about medicines.
