Pharmaceutical Engineering is an emerging discipline with huge potential, considering new paradigms in quality for pharmaceutical production. Masters in Pharmaceutical Engineering will have a solid education in Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmaceutical Process Engineering, prepared to contribute to technological innovation, improve industrial competitiveness and leadership in most areas of pharmaceutical industry.
The course aims to train professionals with competence in the most modern tools for the design and operation of processes for manufacturing, managing and quality control of the product throughout its life cycle (including active substances of chemical or biological origin, drug products and health products) and capable of contributing significantly to technological innovation, improvement of industrial competitiveness and leadership in certain pharmaceutical areas, as well as to the resolution of public health problems in current or emerging therapeutic areas.
This master course is taught with the partnership of Instituto Superior Técnico of ULisboa, taking advantage of the competences of both institutions, and also the respective networks of national and international collaborations with the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, and regulatory authorities forming a basis for conducting dissertations and subsequently supporting professional employment.
Teaching Language
Should a non-Portuguese speaking applicant be admitted, classes are taught in English. The course contents and materials are often in English.
