Cecília Rodrigues, Full Professor at Faculdade de Farmácia and Vice-Rector of Universidade de Lisboa has received the FEBS’s Sir Hans Krebs medal. This award is given to those with outstanding achievements in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related sciences. Cecília Rodrigues has a notable national and international work. She received her PhD in Pharmacy (Biochemistry) from Universidade de Lisboa for her work at the University of Cincinnati and postdoc at the University of Minnesota.
She is currently leader of an investigation group at Research Institute for Medicines (iMed), whose work is focused on finding therapeutic and diagnostic strategies for metabolic liver disease.
