Susana Zeferino Solá da Cruz
Susana Solá graduated in Genetics and Molecular Biology in 1999 at FCUL. In 2005, after concluding her PhD in Pharmacy, she focused her research on identifying potential check points and promising molecular targets that increase adult neural stem cell activity. Susana Solá is now Assistant Professor at the FFUL and Researcher at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). More recently, she has begun exploring the relevance of mitochondrial metabolism in inter-organ communication to ultimately improve neuroregeneration throughout ageing. Principal Investigator of 5 research projects, member of 22 research projects and author of 51 articles (h-index: 27).
