Susana Solá is Assistant Professor and Team Leader of the research group Stem Cell Bioenergetics and Neuroregeneration, at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). She is graduated in Genetics and Biology and, after concluding her PhD in Pharmacy (Biochemistry), Susana Solá has focused her research on identifying potential check points and promising molecules that increase neural stem cell pool and their plasticity. More recently, she has began exploring the relevance of mitochondrial metabolism in inter-organ communication to ultimately improve neuroregeneration in the adulthood. Principal Investigator/member of several research projects, and author of 58 articles (h-index: 30).
