BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Noélia Duarte is graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1995). She received her MSc (1999) and PhD (2008) degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (both from FFUL) She is an Assistant Professor at FFUL, and has expertise in several chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques (UV, FTIR, HPLC, GC, NMR and HPLC-MS). Her research has been focus on the isolation and structural characterization of bioactive compounds from plants. She is also interested in Mass Spectrometry studies (LC- MS/MS) aiming at the identification and quantification of metabolites from plants and biological samples. She is author or co-author of 5 book chapters and 40 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
