BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Assistant researcher at the Department of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Health Technologies (DFFTS). Degree in Microbiology and Genetics (2002-2006), Master’s in Molecular Biology and Genetics (2006-2007) and PhD in Biology – Microbiology (2009-2013) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). Post-doctoral research in synthetic biology and transcriptional regulation (2014-2019, LMU Munich and TUDresden, Germany), phage endolysin engineering (2020-2022, FFUL, Portugal), and one health (2022-2024, FCUL, Portugal). Current research focused on the engineering of probiotics for the in situ production of therapeutic proteins.
