Noélia Duarte has a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1995), MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1999) and PhD in Pharmacy (2008, University of Lisbon). She has been an Assistant Professor at FFUL since 2008, teaching and coordinating several 1st and 2nd cycle curricular units. Her research has been focused on the isolation and structural characterization of bioactive compounds from plants, and on mass spectrometry studies applied to the identification and quantification of metabolites in several matrices. She is the author or co-author of 5 book chapters and more than 50 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the editorial board of “Pharmaceuticals” and “Frontiers in Pharmacology”.
