Schedules

The Pedagogical Council is the Faculty of Pharmacy’s responsible entity for drawing up the schedules and planning the occupation of classrooms.

When organizing classes schedules, the needs of the Faculty’s functioning will be taken into account.

1. Re-enrollment:

  • Students with no pending ECTS

Students must enroll in all the course units of the academic year they have progressed to, totaling 60 ECTS.

  • Students with pending ECTS

Students are required to enroll in all pending course units and may enroll in up to 60 ECTS from their current academic year or the following one.

Maximum ECTS limit: Students may enroll in a maximum of 84 ECTS.

2. Class Schedule Selection Process (Fénix Portal):

Class schedule selection (Groups and Shifts) is done through the Fénix Portal, by navigating to the tab: Student > Enroll > Enrollment Processes.

⚠️ Please note that the schedule selection includes both semesters of the 2025/2026 academic year, so students must choose the shifts corresponding to both the 1st and 2nd semesters.

3. Class Schedule Selection (Classes):

Students must access the Fénix Portal and choose their class, based on priority, within the established timeframes and according to the curricular year in which they are placed (5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st year).

  • August 25 (from 10:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.) – 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th year MICF students with Special Status (priority in schedule selection)

  • August 26 (from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) – 5th year students without priority

  • August 26 (from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) – 4th year students without priority

  • August 27 (from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) – 3rd year students without priority

  • August 27 (from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) – 2nd year students without priority

Informative Circular No. 1/AA/2024 defines the priority statuses for schedule selection:

  • High-Performance Athlete

  • FFUL Student-Athlete

  • ULisboa Student-Athlete

  • Student with Special Educational Needs

  • Firefighter

  • Military Personnel

  • Working Student

4. Class Schedule Selection (Shifts): Exception for Advanced and Elective Courses

These students must access the Fénix Portal and select the Shifts (Theoretical, Practical, and Laboratory) of the curricular units they intend to enroll in, according to the priorities and within the designated deadlines.

  • August 28 – Placement of Erasmus+ students

  • August 29 (from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) – Advanced UCs, Exceptional Optional Courses, and students who failed with invalid practical/laboratory components – Priority students

  • August 29 (from 2:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.) – Advanced UCs, Exceptional Optional Courses, and students who failed with invalid practical/laboratory components – Remaining students

  • Students repeating the 1st year of the Integrated Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MICF), as well as students with outstanding curricular units (UCs) from the 1st year, should not select a class or shift, unless the practical and/or laboratory component of the UC is no longer valid (i.e., has expired more than three academic years ago). In such cases, students must submit the application “Enrollment in Shifts (No Available Slots)” via the Fénix Portal, indicating the full name of the UC and three preferred shift options (e.g., Immunology – P1, P4, P6). This application should only be submitted for UCs with expired components.
  • Students enrolled in Isolated Curricular Units – Pending MICF Coordination decision

5. Repeating Students and Those Placed in the Same Academic Year: Students have no priority in schedule selection

Repeating students should not choose a class, as they will keep the shifts of the practical and laboratory components that are still valid. Therefore, they must select their schedule by shift. Students in this situation are identified in the Fénix Portal with the status – Student without schedule selection priority.

6. Students who Failed with Valid Practical/Laboratory Components:

Students with curricular units whose practical/laboratory components are still valid* do not need to enroll in the shifts for those units.

* The grade obtained in the assessment of practical and laboratory teaching is valid for the academic year in which the student passed, and for the following two academic years.

7. Students who Failed with Invalid Practical and/or Laboratory Components:

Students whose practical/laboratory components are no longer valid** must enroll in the shifts for the respective curricular units.

** Grades obtained from practical and laboratory assessment more than 3 academic years ago (including the year of achievement and the following two) are no longer valid.
