Lídia Maria Diogo Gonçalves is Principal Investigator. She has a degree (5 years) in Applied Chemistry (Biotechnology) from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a PhD in Biological Engineering (Microbial Technology) (FCT / UNL). She is developing research in new 3D systems (micro and nanostructures) with polymers and lipids for drug stabilization and/or targeting. Her research also involves antigen delivery using particulate adjuvants to modulate the immune response to complex antigens, as well as enhance local immunity. She is the author of four patents and >130 articles. She has mentored >50 students. She obtained national and international funding.
