biographical note
Madalena Pimentel is an Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, coordinating the courses of Bacteriology and Food Microbiology and Health of the Integrated Master Course in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Bacterial Molecular Genetics of the Master Course in Biopharmaceutical Sciences.
The scientific activity is developed at iMed.ULIsboa, where she has been coordinating research projects on bacteriophage-mycobacteria interactions. She also participates in scientific projects in biotech companies aiming the development of bacteriophage-based products for therapeutic purposes. She has supervised several master and doctoral thesis and published in scientific journals.
