biographical note
Fátima Cabral is Assistant Professor of the Department of Toxicological and Bromatological Sciences, FFULisboa and member of the Chemical Biology and Toxicology group of the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). She obtained her PhD in 2001 in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry). The scientific activity was focused on the synthesis of macrocycles regarding their medical applications in chelation therapy, as SOD mimetics or as antifungal agents. Thermodynamic and structural characterization of the compounds were performed by NMR, UV-Vis, EPR spectroscopies. Biological evaluation of the compounds has also been studied.
