The Universidade de Lisboa is offering six places for PhD students and early-career researchers to take part in Unite! Widening Training @UPC 2026, in Barcelona, from 26 to 28 May.
Organised by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, this international programme under the Unite! Widening brings together participants from various European universities who are interested in developing key skills for contemporary research, such as transparency practices and open science; promoting gender balance in academia; and managing cultural diversity in international teams.
The training combines thematic sessions, practical workshops and networking opportunities, enabling participants to acquire practical tools and establish connections with researchers from across Europe. The event will have a limited number of participants per university, reinforcing the exclusive nature of the experience.
For ULisboa, these six places represent an opportunity to strengthen the internationalisation of its academic community and to empower young researchers to meet the challenges of a more ethical, inclusive and collaborative science.
