Learning outcomes

This unit aims to teach and to transfer competence to the student in order to:
- Enable the understanding of disease mechanisms and the most important pathological processes.
- Learn about the most common diseases, its name and signs and symptoms in its different phases of presentation and evolution.
-Acquire an adequate vocabulary, so that the technical terms used in the description of pathological processes such as the symptoms of disease are understood correctly.
- Apply scientific terms in oral and written expression.

General mechanisms of disease; Inflamatory response; Neoplasia
Cardiovascular; Heamatological; Respiratory; Renal and urinary Diseases
Hydroelectrolyte and acid- base disorders
Gastrointestinal; Biliar, liver and pancreatic diseases
Endocrine diseases: Diabetes; Pituitary; thyroid, adrenal and parathyroid
Phosphocalcium metabolism disorders
Disorders of the female and male reproductive tracts
Central nervous; Osteoarticular; motosensorial and skin diseases
