On 12 February 2026, at 12:00 p.m., in Amphitheatre B of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon (FFUL), Bruna Bosquetti, Researcher at Grupo Boticário-Brasil, will present the lecture ‘Sustainable Beauty: Innovating Through Alternative Methods,’ which will explore the scientific innovations that drive Grupo Boticário, a beauty ecosystem that discontinued animal testing more than 25 years ago. The session details the strategic evolution of the group’s Pre-Clinical Centre, which combines in vitro and in silico technologies to ensure the safety and efficacy of raw materials and products.
The session will be led by Bruna Bosquetti, a safety assessment specialist at the Boticário Group in Curitiba, Brazil. The speaker specialises in human toxicology and the development/application of alternative methods (New Approach Methods – NAMs). These alternative methodologies represent a significant advance in modern toxicology, allowing the use of animal models to be reduced or replaced through in vitro, ex vivo and computational testing.
The lecture is part of the ongoing scientific collaboration with researcher Sandra Simões.
